Enfield 2nds recorded their first win of the season on Wednesday with a comprehensive 16-10 (4-1, 4-6, 5-1, 3-2) home victory over Blue Marlin.
After defeats against Otter and Ealing in London League Division 3, the result was much-needed for the young and developing side.
In the opening quarter, Adrian Lo put the hosts ahead with an arrowed effort which flew into the top corner with only one second remaining on the shot clock.
Nikos Chamalidis was then on target from 2m, before Martin Waller and Sean O’Brien both netted to give Enfield a 4-1 lead at the end of the first.
In the second, Blue Marlin battled back into the game as they found a way past keeper David Bryan on six occasions.
Costas Chamalidis replied for Enfield, while Nikos Chamalidis added three more to his tally to make it 8-7 at the half.
With only seven players having made the long journey from Walton-on-Thames, Blue Marlin began to tire in the third.
Richard Waller bagged a quick-fire hat-trick and Costas Chamalidis scored his second of the night to put Enfield firmly in control.
Martin Ilievski then slammed home a superb bounce shot just before the buzzer to give the hosts a 13-8 lead.
Enfield eased up in the final quarter, but Richard Waller scored two more and Nikos Chamalidis hammered in his fifth strike from 2m to give the hosts a comfortable 16-10 triumph.
