Enfield suffered a 9-4 defeat against a strong and experienced Penguin side in the Middlesex League on Thursday.
With only nine players making the short trip to Hillingdon, Enfield faced an uphill battle against a well-organised Penguin, who fielded a number of their national league stars.
Rob Lucas was again Enfield’s key man as he top scored for the visitors with two goals from his favoured 2m position, while Andy Poore marked his return to the side with a powerful 2m finish of his own.
As Penguin dominated proceedings and pulled away in the second half, Richard Waller delivered a brief respite for Enfield with a finely executed lob.
Enfield’s team in full was Rob Threadgold, Rob Lucas, Martin Waller, Andy Boorman, Andy Poore, Alex Waller, Richard Waller, Martin Ilievski and Craig Snowdon.
