Enfield survived an early first-quarter scare before going on to record a comprehensive 19-7 victory over Blue Marlin on Wednesday.
It was Enfield’s third London League win in their last four games, with the only blip coming against Watford.
At Walton-on-Thames, the hosts started strongly, racing into a 2-0 lead, and it wasn’t until late in the opening quarter that Enfield found their rhythm.
Some fine saves by Andy Boorman kept the visitors in the game before Alex Waller and Rob Lucas scored to tie the game 2-2 at the end of the first.
Attacking the deep in the second, Enfield pressed Blue Marlin hard and took full advantage of a series of man-ups.
Lucas added three more from 2m and Richard Waller netted twice before Martin Ilievski scored with a fine shot from the top of the arc to make it 8-4 at the half.
Five more goals were added in the third as Enfield built up a comfortable 13-6 lead through Andy Rolle (2), Lucas (1), R Waller (1) and Ilievski (1).
In the fourth quarter, Enfield kept their momentum going with A Waller, R Waller and Lucas all firing in a brace each to make the final score 19-7.
The result was the perfect send-off for Enfield, who next week travel to Skopje in Macedonia for the start of their summer tour.
