Enfield’s junior goalkeeper Ella Wyrwas is celebrating winning gold at the National Age Group finals in Manchester.

Ella starred in goal for London Otter Under-17s and helped guide the team to a 13-7 victory in the semi-finals, before helping secure a 9-7 win over City of Manchester to seal the gold medal.

“Ella played an amazing game in Manchester and fully deserved her gold medal,” said Enfield coach Martin Waller.

“The amount of saves Ella made was phenomenal. She saved numerous one-on-ones and penalties, too. She is a credit to Enfield Water Polo Club and there’s no doubt she could make it to the very top.”
