Enfield 1st team narrowly missed out on maximum points in another hard fought game with Reading.
Alvaro Lapaz’s lob from distance should have sealed the game for Enfield but Reading’s last second goal earned the visitors a draw.
New signing Zlsot Pal was dominant in defence and attack until being sent out for three major fouls and Alex Waller continued his fine form from 2016 with four goals.
New signing George Lazok also impressed during his Enfield debut.
Captain Craig Snowdon added ‘Since our promotions in the summer & winter leagues in 2014 our games vs Reading have been close. Always hard battles in the pool and often ending in draws or one goal victories.
‘The game is always seems to be decided in the dying seconds. It was a shame to draw but on reflection a draw was probably a fair result.’
Enfield dominated the first, second and fourth quarters but ultimately a sloppy third quarter cost them the win.
